Familiar Place, New People.

Hello my dear family and friends. I haven't had a chance to blog in awhile. So with that here it goes...

In the wee hours on Tuesday morning (May 21) my mom, sister-in-law, and I packed up the car with all of my crap (uh I mean my valuable belongings?) We set off for beautiful Spokane [insert sarcasm.] We made good time and well before I knew it I was transferring my stuff into a different car and saying some goodbyes followed by a lot of I love you's. Goodbyes are never an easy thing for me but I am not one who gets emotional. (That's for another blog and another day.) It probably helped that I was reconnecting with a friend of mine. Anyways I stayed in Spokane for a day. Thursday morning my friend Olivia and I packed up her car and were on our way to the coast.

Cannon Beach. Feels good to be back. I need to adjust to the overcast rainy days once again but I feel like that is a minor detail. There are familiar and new faces which excites me. I am looking forward to being more social this summer. And most importantly learning about each person's story. I have enjoyed catching up people and soon questioned why we were never friends last summer. It's gonna be a good summer.

This past weekend I got a glimpse into what my summer will look like. And let me just note this : 4 and 5 year olds enjoy talking and have a lot of energy. I know there will be challenging times but I am excited for this summer. I need to remember that a challenge results in growth.

I pray this summer I will be able to really reflect on this past year. I know God has a plan for why certain things happened in my life. And I also pray this summer I will be genuine in each interaction I have whether it be with a friend, a child, or a person in a coffee shop.

He must increase, but I must decrease.
John 3:30

Well I will end this post with a couple of photos. :)

First coffee of the summer at Insomnia. :)

(By the way I hope this all made sense I am a little sleepy.)
