Thursday's are by far one of the longest days. Depending on the attitude you have when you wake up on a Thursday morning the day could go very well or could be very challenging. I woke up with kind of an idea of how the day would go. I knew we had morning session, carnival, kid dinner, and evening session. And I knew I wouldn't be able to go through the day on my own strength. After working here last summer I kind of had an idea of how kid dinner would go: chaotic.
Haha funny story though little did I know how the day would go. Morning session went well. We set up for carnival and I was beyond excited to see I was the photographer for carnival. [Anyone who knows me pretty well knows I have a passion for photography.] Carnival went well full of laughter and smiles! After carnival I had a curve ball thrown at me for the evening session. I was caught off guard so I went to my second home, Insomnia [the best coffee shop in town]. I was trying to figure out games/skits/songs to do with the kiddos to fill the extra 50 some minutes we had. And to be honest I was trying to compose myself for the evening session because I was a little frustrated/stressed. In my head I was imagining the evening to be crazy long and the kiddos to just be crazy. Well I learned curve balls can be a good thing and I am also learning I really need to just let go of things. Sometimes there doesn't need to be a plan. God is good. He takes care of His children. The evening went well. The kiddos ate so much food. I was in awe. It turned out to be an amazing night.
God is good.
