Transitions.

 Tis' the season of football, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin muffins, (ha actually everything pumpkin), rain, crisp air, orange, red, and yellow leaves, boots, scarves, and well this list could go on and on. Fall is by far my absolute favorite season. I love everything about it.

As quickly as this new season has come, my life is in a completely new season as well. I am already grateful God brought me to Ecola. The community just seems to fit my personality. And I am so eager and ready to learn more about who God is and just deepen my relationship with him. You want to know the coolest part of all of this? The fact that this year I will not be alone. I have faith that God brought each one of us together for a specific purpose. It is going to be exciting to see this unfold. Life in a close knit community is not going to be perfect. Challenges will arise but there will be moments. Life changing conversations will occur. And I feel like this year I am going to encounter God like never before.

But now, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay, and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
Isaiah 64:8

How great of a reminder is this scripture? We are the clay. He is the potter. For me this is just a great reminder that I may be in a new season and everything around me is just so new in a way. I mean I have been in the area before but this is a completely new environment. Anyways I just love the imagery of this verse. Reminder. God is in complete control. He will always be.
