Long gone are the days of glitter.

Life is a crazy adventure. Within four days I traveled roughly 3000 miles (as the crow flies). Summer is over. I am home. The days of hanging out with four and five year olds and teaching them about Jesus are long gone. No more Veggie Tales books. No more glitter fights with my team. No more team outings. I do miss these days. Summer of 2013 will always be a special for me.

I had the opportunity to meet my parents in Illinois (after ending my summer job) so we could be with family and celebrate my grandma's 80th birthday. My childhood was spent amongst rolling hills, humidity, and the countryside. I lived in northern Illinois until 7th grade. My family and I haven't been to Illinois for about four years and going back this past weekend we took a trip down memory lane. I will forever cherish these moments I had with family. Here are a couple of photos from the trip.

God is good. I am home for a few weeks before I begin classes at Ecola and return to the Oregon coast. I am thankful for these moments and excited for the memories to come. Hopefully there will be a lot more posts to come since I have a lot of down time. :)
